With some great cruelty free products on the high street and high end we have so many products to choose from. If your looking to start your cruelty free pledge or you just want to add some items to your collection here are some of my favourite budget items for under £5 that I think are great quality for the price.
I mentioned sleek blushers in my January monthly favourites and they really are the best high street blushers. The pigmentation is amazing, they have good staying power and come in a variety of colours with either a matte or shimmer finish.
MUA power pout lipstick- £3
These to me are a cruelty free alternative to the Clinque chubby sticks at a fraction of the price. These are actually a lip tint rather than a lipstick. These have a buttery consistency so are hydrating to the lips whilst also adding a pop of colour. The MUA power pout lipsticks come in 6 shades to choose from.
Collection extreme 24hr felt tip liner- £2.99
This is the best eyeliner I’ve ever come across. It lasts all day long, it’s the most long lasting eyeliner I’ve used. It comes in four colours but I tend to only use black and this is definitely a deep black. It’s so easy to apply and the pen is shaped perfectly for fool proof flicks.
MUA skin define matte foundation – £4
I was so hesitant to buy this as it’s the cheapest foundation I’ve ever used but the fact it contains vitamin a, e and jojoba sealed the deal for me and I wasn’t disappointed. Easy to blend and adds a really good coverage and has good staying power. It comes in five shades which I found was enough as it comes in 4 ivory shades. Maybe not the best choice for darker skin but with my untanned, winter skin I was able to match myself quickly.
Radiant bb under eye concealer £3.98
I find myself struggling with concealer as I want good coverage but I don’t want a product that’s going to cake under my eyes and make them dry and I always get paranoid too much heavy makeup in this area is going to give me harsher wrinkles when I get older. I like the design of this product as it comes with a brush head so when you twist the bottom the concealer comes out of the brush. This is also good because you can reuse the brush when the product is finished ( I used mine as a lip brush)This B. BB under eye concealer is light weight, blends well and gives me a good coverage. This product can also be used all over the face, even though it claims to be an under the eye concealer it’s effective at hiding blemishes too.
Barry m dazzle dust £4.59/Barry M fine glitter dust- £4.59
If you want to add a bit of glitter to your eyes the Barry M dazzle dusts are the way to go. These are long lasting, loose pigment powders available in a huge variety of colours. You only need a tiny amount to add a wash of beautiful coloured glitter to the eyelids.
The Barry M fine glitter dusts are similar to the dazzle dusts but are more like tiny specks of glitter that are nice used over a matte eye shadow to really make your eyes pop. Another long lasting product when applied with a light hand. These can be used all over the body which I have yet to try but I do like the idea of how versatile these can be.
Have you tried any of these products, what did you think?
